Sustainable cities

In their aspirations to achieve carbon-neutrality and sustainability, local, provincial and regional authorities and water management agencies are today pursuing a wide range of energy, climate and waste policies. Decision-makers and policy officials want to know what these goals entail, both technically and in terms of policy options. At the same time there are questions about the effectiveness and best use of policy instruments, the costs and benefits to society, and impacts on the local economy and employment.
CE Delft has been advising local authorities on waste, energy and climate policies for many years now. Our strength is that we seek integrated solutions for the urban environment from the combined perspectives of energy, economy and transport. CE Delft’s consultants have a wealth of experience in translating long-term processes into concrete policy measures at the local level and are well attuned to the political and social play of forces within municipal government.
