Summary:

Dutch dairy producers Campina are planning to launch a new meat substitute called Valess and asked CE to put it through an environmental analysis, comparing its eco-profile with that of the products with which it will be competing. The analysis showed that production of Valess has substantially less environmental impact than meat production, while scoring similarly to other (plant-based) meat substitutes.
