Promising policy for CO2 reduction in industry and Carbon Capture and Storage

As a contribution to the policy study ‘Energy and climate policy options’ (in Dutch), published on 19 July 2016 by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL), CE Delft has produced two brief reports, entitled ‘Promising options for CO2 reduction in industry’ and ‘Promising options for Carbon Capture and Storage’.

The PBL policy study reviews policy options considered to hold promise for reducing Dutch carbon emissions by at least 80% in 2050 relative to 1990. This target was adopted because of the pledge made by parties at the 2015 Paris Climate Summit, the complexity and far-reaching nature of the implied transition, and the urgency of effective abatement measures.
