Outlook City Logistics

Connekt, CE Delft, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and TNO have published ‘Outlook City Logistics 2017’, outlining how urban logistics can contribute to securing the Paris climate targets for 2050 and the most promising steps to be taken in each relevant segment. The study analyses more than twelve urban logistics segments: what is the associated transport demand, how is the logistics chain built up, what are the emissions, what is the likely impact of automation, robotization and the Internet of Things, how far advanced are the relevant technologies and what is the difference between major cities and smaller towns?

In the coming six months the Outlook team will be holding interviews and stakeholder meetings with the sector to collect responses to the Outlook with the aim of putting out an improved Outlook in 2018.

The Outlook for 2017 can be downloaded from the Connekt website.
