This study supplements the study ‘Backcasting for The Hague’ (2018). On the back of the earlier study, The Hague Municipal Authority wanted to know the impact on results if two other scenarios for meeting the heating demand of the city’s homes and utility buildings are used. This study answers that question with respect to CO₂ emissions, costs and feasibility and concludes that the two new scenarios have little effect on The Hague’s CO₂ budget compared with the scenario adopted in the earlier backcasting study.
